FAQs

  • Accredited Exercise Physiologists are university qualified allied health professionals. 

    They have the knowledge and skill set to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions. They can assist people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.

  • For your first appointment please bring any relevant paperwork with you. This may include referrals, medical forms, recent reports and discharge summaries. 

    You may like to bring a water bottle and a towel. 

    Please wear comfortable clothing and enclosed shoes that you are happy to exercise in.

  • We are located on the ground floor of Corner of Grafton and 1A Newland Street, Bondi Junction within Sports and Spine Physiotherapy and Pilates.

    Please note this is not the HCF building.

    There is plenty of metered parking on surrounding streets and conveniently located near Bondi Junction Station.

  • Referrals are preferred but not required. It is important for your safety that we are aware of your cardiac history so please bring any medical forms, recent reports and discharge summaries.

    We welcome referrals from specialists, GPs and allied health professionals.

  • Yes, We accept private health insurance. 

    Exercise Physiology may be covered under your extras cover. Your private health rebate will depend on your fund policy. Please get in contact with your private health provider to see if you are eligible and get an estimate of your rebate. 

    Please bring your private health card to allow on the spot payment via our HICAPS machine. 

  • Exercise Physiology is not rebatable by Medicare unless your GP refers you through a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) or T2DM Group Allied Health Referral. 

    Full payment is required on the day to be submitted to Medicare. Following the payment, the rebatable amount will be returned to your nominated bank account.

  • A Chronic Disease Management (CDM) is a government incentive which allows individuals with a chronic medical condition to receive Medicare rebates for a maximum of 5 allied health services each calendar year.

    Full payment is required on the day to be submitted to Medicare. Following the payment, the rebatable amount of $60.35 will be returned to your nominated bank account.

    Please discuss with your GP if you may benefit from a CDM plan.
